TwelveStone Health Partners Launches out of Reeves-Sain Family of Medical Services to Focus on Post-Acute Care
Company will build new headquarters to provide everything patients require once they leave hospital, while Reeves-Sain Drug Store, Inc. continues as a retail pharmacy.
MURFREESBORO, Tenn., Feb. 16, 2016 – Shane Reeves has launched TwelveStone Health Partners, Inc., which will offer a broad range of services to support patient care in a wide range of post acute-care environments.
TwelveStone Health Partners will invest $14.9 million into a new corporate headquarters and create 200 new jobs with plans to expand TwelveStone’s services to all 95 Tennessee counties from its existing 44-county service area footprint.
“The history of Reeves-Sain has always involved taking a leadership role in development of new markets and approaches for the pharmacy and medical supply business,” says Shane Reeves, president and CEO of TwelveStone Health Partners, Inc. “That spirit continues today with TwelveStone.”
The launch of TwelveStone Health Partners is a result of last year’s acquisition of Reeves-Sain Drug Store, Inc. and EntrustRx, its specialty pharmacy business by Fred’s Inc. Former business partner Rick Sain will remain at Reeves-Sain Retail Pharmacy (Fred’s) as Senior Vice President of Retail Pharmacy Business Development. The Fred’s transaction did not include Reeves-Sain Family of Medical Services, Inc., Reeves-Sain Extended Care, LLC or Reeves-Sain Medical, Inc. These businesses will operate as TwelveStone Health Partners moving forward. TwelveStone will offer packaged medication, infusion and enteral services, respiratory therapy services and durable medication equipment.
“We appreciate TwelveStone Health Partners for its ongoing commitment to Tennessee and creating 200 new jobs,” Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam said. “The momentum of Tennessee’s healthcare industry is strengthened not only when companies locate in our state, but also when they decide to expand and grow here. We congratulate TwelveStone on today’s announcement and thank the company for bringing us one step closer toward making Tennessee the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”
“TwelveStone Health Partners supports the smooth transition of patient care by partnering with a wide rage of post-acute care organizations, including home health agencies, skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, correctional facilities, group homes, hospice organizations and health plans,” says Reeves. “By offering services designed to our partner’s specific requirements, wrapped around patient’s needs, TwelveStone is the partner of choice for addressing the significant issues facing health delivery organizations.”
About TwelveStone Health Partners
TwelveStone Health Partners incorporates the objective of glorifying God into its mission by delivering a higher level of service to partners and patients. As an organization, TwelveStone supports the transition from acute to post-acute care environments and the transition from sickness to health. This is the third evolution in the company’s history, beginning in 1980 when Richard Reeves and Ronald Powell created a single retail pharmacy location then called Reeves Powell Saveway Drug Store. In 1994 Shane Reeves and Rick Sain launched Reeves-Sain and over 20 years grew the organization to include seven companies. In 2015 Reeves Sain Drug Store, Inc., a retail pharmacy, and its specialty pharmacy, EntrustRx were sold to Fred’s, Inc. In 2016 Shane Reeves launched TwelveStone Health Partners with the objective of continuing to pursue the highest professional, business and community goals set forth by its founders.
