Here’s what our patients have to say.
It is beautiful. It is clean. The staff is great. It was great being in the room by myself and not have to listen to anyone else complain or be negative! It was very peaceful. I knew Chelsea from my previous infusion site. This place is definitely a better fit for her personality. Thank you for my welcome bag and just ensuring that I was comfortable. I love the story of where the name comes from.

I can't thank the staff enough. They were utterly amazing and kind. I have also never had a room before for my long infusion and found it refreshing and comfortable. A beautiful and comfortable facility that I would recommend to anyone that needs to do an infusion.

I’m not sure that I can adequately put into words how wonderful of an experience we had at Twelve Stone. From scheduling, insurance approvals, communication with the doctor’s office, to the actual infusion day, we received the utmost care, attention, and most importantly, compassion. Our daughter is 7 and her first infusion (at another medical facility) was a very bad experience. We found Twelve Stone and the bar has officially been raised. Chelsea and Jordan are incredible, kind, proactive, and just downright delightful. We had a marathon infusion of 10+ hours and not a single minute were we not comfortable, rushed, or unhappy. They made a very unpleasant situation not only bearable, but our daughter declared on the way home that it was “a really great day”. And it was. This mama is beyond grateful to have found Twelve Stone. ❤️

We believe in patient-centered care that helps you face your health conditions with strength and dignity. With more than 35 years of experience, our care coordinators follow you throughout your healthcare journey to ensure that everything is just right. We know you have enough to worry about, and our goal is to care for you in a safe, comfortable, Christian-oriented environment.
Your doctor has prescribed infusion treatments for your illness. If you’re a little nervous, that’s understandable. Navigating your first infusion can be intimidating, but everyone at 12Stone Infusion is here to make the first time a walk in the park!
For the sake of brevity, these tips apply whether you’re having your infusions administered at home or are coming to one of our comfortable centers. Your physician has likely discussed infusion therapy with you, but here are a few reminders.
Gather Your Information
Don’t wait until the last minute to find important documents. Assemble everything you’ll need and put it in a folder or notebook. That way, you won’t be scrambling to find forms before treatment. The documents you will need include,
- Insurance card and form of identification
- Medical history and list of other medications
- Forms required by the infusion center. It’s very likely that there will be forms on the infusion center website that you will need to complete before your appointment. (If you’re visiting us, you’ll find the forms online in the upper right corner in the green box. Complete the form(s) required by the type of infusion medication.) If there aren’t any, call and ask for them. Don’t wait until you’re at your appointment to complete them, especially if you’re a little nervous.
Arrange for Transportation
If you’re visiting a TwelveStone Infusion Center for the first time, we recommend arranging for transportation. Why? You may have side effects like weakness, sleepiness or feeling dizzy. Until you know for certain, have a way of getting home other than driving yourself. Many insurance plans cover the cost of a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft). Check your plan.
Gather Your Comfort Items
12Stone will do whatever is possible to make you feel comfortable. We have reclining chairs, pillows, blankets, TV, and WiFi. We also provide beverages to keep you hydrated during your treatment. However, if a personal item, such as a stuffed animal, your bible, your favorite music or a crossword puzzle will help relax you, we completely understand, so bring it.
Day of Treatment
Your physician may have given you specific instructions to follow before your infusion, such as medications you may take, what to eat, or if special blood work is needed and has been ordered. Follow those instructions. And we cannot recommend this enough: Stay hydrated! Drinking ample non-caffeinated beverages will “plump” your veins, making that needle stick a little more pleasant. And of course, wear comfy clothing.
At Your Treatment
You’ll submit your paperwork, possible have some bloodwork done, and you’ll settle in for your treatment. At any time, feel free to ask questions. Our clinicians welcome your questions, so ask us anything! And if something doesn’t feel quite right, speak up. Communication will help ensure a smooth experience.
After Your Infusion
Your first infusion is complete! Before you go, make sure you’re feeling steady on your feet and ask any follow-up questions you may have. It’s likely your healthcare provider will follow-up with you after your first infusion.
The Next Time Now you know what to expect and can adjust your next visit accordingly. Perhaps you feel that you can drive home without a problem. Maybe bring your laptop and get a little work done. Or maybe you’d like to have a friend with you the next time. It doesn’t matter, we just want you to have the best experience possible every time you visit.
Ideally, wear something that makes you comfortable. If you like jeans, that’s great. Prefer sweatpants or leggings? Go for it. Anything that you would lounge around and at home is perfect. Our goal is that you feel as comfortable as possible while relaxing in a private suite.
TwelveStone is dedicated to meeting the needs of patients with complex and chronic conditions. We care for patients who’ve been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, cystic fibrosis, leukemia, emphysema, psoriasis, osteoporosis, ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, hypercholesterolemia, growth deficiency, and more.
We understand that being diagnosed with a chronic condition is a life-altering moment. That’s why we offer our Peer Advocates Support Services. We’ll connect you with real patients living with the same condition that can walk with you. Most importantly, we will pray with you and for you so that you never forget that God’s loving arms are here to hold you up when you are down.
If you’ve been hospitalized, you may have had an infusion already. Infusion is a process of administering medication. You’ll receive an IV needle, and medication will be put into an IV bag with saline to slowly drip into your bloodstream. Depending on several factors, the treatment can last less than an hour to several hours.
We get it: No one likes needles. But some medications can’t be taken by mouth because they lose their effectiveness when exposed to your digestive system. Infusion therapy is an alternative when there’s no comparable oral therapy or when you’re unable to take oral medication.
