Child lying by a decorated Christmas tree, gazing with wonder and holiday joy indoors.

It’s hard to believe that Christmas has nearly here.

As a child, it seemed Christmas took forever to arrive each year. I remember waking at 5:00 a.m. to dash downstairs to see if Santa had left an Etch-A-Sketch under the tree. (And yes, he had!)

As I’ve grown older, Christmas seems to arrive faster and faster, and I find myself getting more sentimental as the holiday draws near. My longing for toys replaced by prayers for health and wellness for all.

Unfortunately, the cure for many diseases we treat in the infusion centers can’t be found under the Christmas tree. But every month, from January to December, we have the privilege of being a source of hope and healing for thousands of patients who entrust us with their well-being.

I had dinner with a group of friends a couple of weeks ago, and one of them casually mentioned that her next neighbor had recently been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome.  She went on to explain to me that her physician had started her on IVIG, and she had received her first dose in one of the TwelveStone Infusion Centers. The patient described the clinicians at that center as “little angels” who made her feel loved and safe. It makes me so proud of our company to know that we treat our patients with chronic illnesses—and each other—with patience, kindness, and caring.

“My nurse Dee is absolutely awesome!! Not only is she knowledgeable about my infusions, but she is the best at starting IVs (one and done). I can’t say enough good things about Dee. Thanks, Dee, for taking such good care of me.”

I hope that this holiday season, you, too, are surrounded by angels, large and small and that you find quiet hope and gentle peace in your heart.

I pray that TwelveStone continues to bring comfort and be a blessing to those we treat this holiday season and throughout the year.

Merry Christmas!
